Aica Cacho
Co-Founder
Aica grew up in the Philippines. She suffered from acne as a teenager and young adult (she still sometimes gets breakouts). She was into beauty and skincare from a young age, having even competed in local beauty contests in her home city. She studied nursing in university where she learned how to develop systematic processes and medical grade sanitation. However, instead of becoming a nurse she followed her passion for cooking and became a pastry chef, which taught her chemistry in action, and how to choose and combine high quality ingredients. She developed our proprietary maple mud extraction process.
Tyler Staton
Co-Founder
Tyler grew up in Canada. His house was in a maple forest and he learned about maple syrup from a young age. After university, he worked for a software consultancy where he excelled, and was soon sent to Asia Pacific to launch the company's Asian operations. He then co-founded a real estate technology startup in Singapore, raising funding from several of the worlds largest commercial real estate companies. The startup experience taught him how to launch and run a business, as well as how to leverage technology to create an advantage. He even designed and built this website himself.
